Which Blog, What Blog, Why Blog?

I can't decide what path I want my blog to take. Fashion is definately one of my passions in life yet since I am going travelling soon, I think I want my blog to be a photo diary of my experiences whilst I am away. Since I'm not away until April, I'll keep it fashion themed until then.

Dress - Topshop. Shoes - New Look. Belt - Primark. Necklace - Primark.

(Please forgive my sleepy look in the photo above!)

Anyway, this is what I wore out on Friday night. I went out with two of my best girl friends. It turned out to be a fabulous night with lots of laughs. I needed it after a long week... Although, I don't think it helped since I ended up with tonsillitis at the end of the weekend. So now, I am currently writing this since just getting back from the doctors. Good times.

This is what my lovely chum Kerry wore:

Dress - Topshop. Tights - Topshop.

I'm not sure where her bow is from but I want one.

Sadly I don't have any photos of Zoe Green's outfit. This is a shame because she was wearing what I found for her when I was acting as Gok Wan.

The reason I don't have many fashion photos up at the moment is due to my complete lack of funds. My money is going purely on to everything travel related at the moment such as hostels, hiking boots, sleeping bags etc. It is pretty exciting though so I don't mind.

I can't remember if I mentioned where I am actually travelling to...

I am going to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and California. All in all, I am away for about 3 months.

I am very excited!

A.K.A. Gok Wan

Jumper: H&M Necklace: A random stall at the Clothes Show Live

I have been shopping today. It was wonderful. I haven't been shopping in forever. I haven't fancied much in the sales until today. I bought a beautiful pair of Topshop pumps which were a bargain - £28 down to £7! They are shiny too, which in my opinion as a magpie makes them even better!

Blue pumps: Topshop

Also, another fantastic purchase was this glorious H&M jumper which has the cutest glittery bow sewn into it. It is so comfy and I can see many different outfit combinations with it.

Jumper: H&M. Jeggings: Matalan. Pumps: Topshop. Necklace: Random stall from Clothes Show Live.

The reason I have titled this entry as 'A.K.A Gok Wan' is because I felt like Gok today. For those of you who don't know who Gok Wan is, he is one of Britain's best fashionistas. He is a stylist that focuses purely on High Street VS Designer. He has lots of TV styling shows here in the UK which are fabulous to watch. That man has many a useful styling tip!

Anyway, my friend Zoe Green (that is what we call her, surname included) has a date on Tuesday so we decided to go shopping to find her a fabulous new outfit. As I ran around picking out many different items (some of which weren't Zoe Green's usual style. Zoe Green might not have liked some of the items but she humoured me anyway!) this is when I felt most like Gok. Here I was throwing piles of clothes at Zoe Green whilst the poor girl was forever trying them on. I think we got somewhere in the end though...

We found a couple of winning items from New Look.

(Annoyingly I can't seem to get the photos to load).

The theme for the outfit ended up being nautical. It suited Zoe Green very well even if she did declare that she looked like a sailor. I hope her date goes well. I will keep you posted! ;-)

Snow Day!

Welcome back.

Yesterday I had a snow day so I didn't go to work. It was brilliant. I went to the local woods, which are just a short walk from my house, with my friend Kerry and my most favourite thing in the whole world - my Springer Spaniel, Flick.

Isn't she a cutie?

Flick turned out to be very photogenic - she is quite the poser.

The main reason for taking many a photo of Flick is for the inter-house photography competition at school. The competition is meant to be for the kids but they have let the staff enter too. I am determined to win it although I am going up against some staff I know have more photography experience and better cameras than me.

Flick is too much of a belle to come second to any other photo. Oh, the theme is animals by the way.

She also loves snow. Besides balls, chew toys, eating, sleeping and our fish pond snow might be her favourite thing. She tries to catch snowballs and looks really surprised when they explode in her face and suddenly disappear. It's really funny to watch. She also enjoys chasing after snow that you kick around. She does exactly the same with autumn leaves too. I love taking her for walks as it is refreshing. Plus, it is getting me and Kerry fit before we go on our travels around the world in April!

Maybe I should enter this photo instead?

The rest of my snow day consisted of sitting in the local country pub with Kerry and another friend Jo. There was a lovely log fire which made me feel Christmassy even though we have just had Christmas. The fire was greatly received nevertheless.

I love that it is the weekend. I am so excited for lazying around. I should find something productive to do. I will be sure to put up a outfit photo tomorrow. I already know what I am going to be wearing!

Until then.

This Could Be The Start Of Something New

Welcome to SammyPantha's Blog!

This is my very first post and I feel I should write something interesting and intriguing to wow my possible readers...

Ok, so... How's the weather your side of the world?

Actually, I should probably start by introducing myself.  My name is Sam and I spend the majority of my time living and breathing music.  I am a music (and art) teacher and I like to play instruments.  In fact, I play a few.  Flute, sax, piano, violin and currently my new favourite, ukulele.  I like the challenge a new instrument possess and I just can't help myself.  I am starting trombone now which is a challenge I couldn't even imagine!  It's so darn difficult.

Whilst being musical, I like to wear pretty clothes so I think I might add some outfit photos.  I love looking at other people's outfits.  They are inspirational and I think that sometimes I am a style thief, but I like to add my own unique twist... That's how it is meant to work, right?

I have only just cottoned on to this whole blog marlarky.  I recently joined weardrobe.com which has become a daily fix for me.  I am obsessed with other people's ensembles and clothes.  I find it fascinating.  Looking at how people dress.  I love when people can be daring and exciting... makes me wish I could do the same but I wimp out at the last minute.  I am stretching myself though.

I am officially obsessed with Topshop.  It's a problem, but I might as well embrace it.

Here is my latest wonderful purchase from Topshop:

As you can see, it's my new favourite thing in the whole world.
Although, I did wear it to an indie club and I got caught on a girl's dress/buttons.  She was very understanding.  I think my dress must have liked her.

I digress.

Another thing I do to entertain myself is art.  I like photography, watercolours and sketching.  I wish I had more time to do such things.  Teaching the basics to others will have to do for now.

Oh, a note to you lovely bloggers.  I don't understand Html so any useful tips to make my blog look prettyful will be gratefully received! I can't wait to get started! :-)
